Automation
A centralized control with robotics hardware
Using robotics cameras (pan-tilt-zoom network cameras) inside a software-based platform allows to centralize the control of all of the elements in the audiovisual production workflow:
- capturing elements (cameras, audio sources)
- compositing (video mixing, media compositing, animating and effects)
- archival (native quality encoding and storage)
- broadcasting (local supports and Internet)
Not only repetitive and redundant tasks can be scripted (like, corporate branding, naming files, publishing ...), but sources (both audio and video) can be analyzed to achieve a total automation.
These multimedia analysis features, derived from the robotics technologies, let our solutions have a limited, yet highly specialized intelligence.
Some examples :
- We suggest Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras with the Knowlegde Recorder to enable autonomous camera control, for presenter tracking or intelligent area zooming (on a white board for example).
- The Knowledge recorder can automatically detect when a presenter moves from slide to another. This triggers a full-resolution capture of the slide and creates a time-stamped link to it when it is viewed later on.
Our ability to provide easy-to-use and increasingly fully-automatic solutions relies on our combination of carefully selected third-party hardware, application-specific EasyCast software and third party services. As a result, some content production and distribution applications require no continuous human intervention.
UbiCast continuously works on making EasyCast more autonomous and we are always developing more specialized and powerful automation software modules.
